In this special bonus video we’ll teach you exactly what polish is and how to properly add it to your game. Virtually every successful game is polished in one way or another. There’s one more aspect of creating games that we haven’t covered yet in this series. There’s also a really effective trick included in this lesson on creating multiple characters via duplication that will make it easy to fill up your shop with unique unlockable characters. The lesson will also teach you how to add unlock buttons to each item or character for advanced monetization later down the line.
You’ll learn how to add character purchasing features to your shop, and we’ll explain the various character settings available further as well. I was extremely excited to hear we would be partnering with them on a game jam, and can’t wait to see what you all come up with. They are smart, put the developer first – and to be honest – are just really awesome people. In fact, the first game ever built with a prototype version of Buildbox, was Phases, a hyper casual game! One of my favourite hyper casual publishers was always Kwalee. Hypercasual is the sharp end of creativity, and we can’t wait to review the games that get submitted, and hopefully take some of the games further!īuildbox Founder Trey Smith added: “Buildbox and hyper casual gaming have quite the long history. There’s a lot of love for hypercasual, because it’s all about rapid prototyping and the fun of finding that one killer game mechanic.
